Spinach & Tortellini Casserole - A Cheesy Delight Packed with Nutrients

Spinach & Tortellini Casserole: This is a creamy and cheesy baked dish that features cheese tortellini, spinach, cream cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic, and nutmeg. It is a comforting and filling meal that is high in calcium, iron, and folate. Recipe




  • Ingredients: cheese tortellini, frozen chopped spinach, cream cheese, shredded mozzarella cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic, nutmeg, salt, pepper, cooking spray

  • Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375°F and coat a 9-by-13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.

  • Cook the tortellini according to the package directions, drain, and return to the pot.

  • Thaw the spinach in a microwave-safe bowl with some water for about 5 minutes, or until warm. Drain and squeeze out the excess water.

  • In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the cream cheese, stirring occasionally, until smooth. Stir in 1 cup of the mozzarella cheese, 1/4 cup of the Parmesan cheese, garlic, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Cook, stirring, until well combined and bubbly, about 5 minutes.

  • Add the spinach and the cheese sauce to the tortellini and toss to coat. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.

  • Bake for 25 minutes, or until golden and bubbly. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
